An Unforgiving Storm
I wrote this play back in the mid 1990s. It is a harsh yet heartfelt story.
An Unforgiving Storm tells the interwoven stories of two couples trapped in a small farmhouse during a blizzard. Rachel and Thomas are a sharecropping family caught in the depression of 1933. They have had no food for days and Rachel, in what she considers an act of mercy, has just suffocated their small child. The second story takes place in 1973 and involves a young couple that has lost a child in an accident. Pauline must decide whether or not to keep the new baby she has just told her husband Richard that she is carrying, because carrying the child to term could kill her
